Cover for Liberty Magazine, for a story about the deep ongoing influence of the institution of slavery on contemporary American society. 

These illustrations are from The Poetry of William Carlos Williams, published by Sterling. This was an opportunity for me to work in a more fresh and spontaneous direction than my earlier work.

This painting was awarded the 2015 Hamilton King Award by the Society of Illustrators. The Hamilton King Award, Illustration's most prestigious honor is presented each year for outstanding accomplishment and repeated excellence and can be won only once.
